Outreach and Engagement
Dr. Rod Williams and team are committed to deliver practical, research-based information and to meet the Purdue Extension mission to enhance lives and livelihoods.
Help The Hellbender
The Help the Hellbender Project is a joint project involving partners from across the country. On this website, you will find information about the hellbender, as well as household and farm management practices that can help keep our rivers and streams clean. People who fish and kayak can also learn what they should do if they see a hellbender in the wild.
The Nature Of Teaching
Rod Williams co-developed an extension program called The Nature of Teaching. The course consists of classroom-based activities where licensed teachers may do the following:
- discuss pre-designed lesson plans
- develop original lesson plans
- participate in outdoor activities that enhance their knowledge of natural resources
