Research Interests

I am interested in the management of terrestrial ecosystems to enhance their health and resilience, particularly in a changing climate. My research focuses on applied forest management techniques that emulate natural disturbances and processes, aiming to maintain and improve the provision of various ecosystem goods and services.

Research Opportunities

I offer opportunities for students to work with me either as hourly employees or for research credit. Students typically engage in tasks such as establishing small research projects, collecting data on existing projects, and assisting graduate students with their research.

Extension and Outreach Experience

I have experience in creating extension materials, particularly in collaboration with Jarred Brooke, to promote the use of prescribed fire for grassland and forest management in the state. Additionally, I worked on a small project documenting the history of the Tippecanoe County Fairgrounds.
