Precision Agriculture Dealership Survey

cover page 2023 precision Agriculture Dealership SurveyThe CropLife-Purdue Precision Agriculture Dealership Survey is the longest-running, continuous measure of precision farming technology adoption, originating in 1996.

With each survey, we ask dealers about the precision technologies that they are using in their business, such as guidance and section controllers for their custom spraying.

We ask about the products and services they offer their farmer customers, such as grid or zone soil sampling, satellite imagery, or VRT applications of fertilizer.

We ask them about what their farmer customers are doing, about the profitability of their product and service offerings, and what factors are influencing their decisions.

In recent years we have been asking them a lot more about data—what they collect, and how they help farmers with data. Most of the respondents are from the Midwest, and include a mix of cooperatives, independents, and regional input suppliers.
