Assessment of Food Safety Knowledge Among Fresh Produce Growers and Extension Workers
Resource Description
Access to safe food, including fresh produce, is essential in meeting nutritional needs and breaking cycles of disease and malnutrition. In Nepal, food safety educational programs can bridge food safety knowledge gaps in the fruit and vegetable value chains. This paper reports the results of pre- and post-training surveys conducted during food safety workshops in five cities in Nepal to evaluate the effectiveness of the trainings.
