Distinguished Ag Alumni:
The Distinguished Agricultural Alumni Award was created in 1992 to recognize mid-career alumni of Purdue's College of Agriculture. Honorees must have a demonstrated record of outstanding accomplishments, have made significant contributions to their profession or society in general, and exhibit high potential for future professional growth. Typically, ten or fewer alumni are selected to receive the award. Recipients will be recognized in a convocation on the West Lafayette campus each fall.Honorees must be in attendance to receive the award.
Career Experience/Graduation Year
- 10-25 years since most recent Purdue agriculture degree
- If you would like to submit a nomination, please contact the nominee's home department head
- Contact the Ag Alumni Association if you need home department or contact information for the the head
Certificate of Distinction:
The Certificate of Distinction is the highest award of the Purdue Agricultural Alumni Association. It is presented at the Purdue Ag Alumni Fish Fry, which takes place annually in early February. This award is intended to recognize those who have contributed significantly to agriculture, forestry or natural resources through professional accomplishments, activity in professional organizations, community service work, and
other activities that make the nominees a credit to their profession. Honorees must be in attendance to receive the award. Special exceptions may be made for those in poor health and unable to travel.
Career Experience/Graduation Year
- 25+ years of experience in their agricultural career
- Nominations may be submitted by the general public
- Nominations must be complete, and should include at least two letters of reference
- Nominees need not be a graduate of Purdue's College of Agriculture
