Explore Sustainable Ag, Health, and Nutrition in Costa Rica! Call Out on January 10th 2013, Lilly 1-436 at 6 PM

• Costa Rica, a country in Central America that is well known for its biodiversity, National Park system, being awarded the happiest country in the world for a number of years, universal health care, and organic agriculture.
• A joint course with students from the College of Health & Human Sciences and the College of Agriculture will explore the linkages between health and nutrition while we participate in service learning projects, interact with Costa Rican farmers and health workers, and travel around the country.
• The course includes visiting organic coffee and cacao farms, local health care facilities, the Caribbean Sea, white water rafting, as well as numerous service learning opportunities (mural painting, planting/picking vegetables, making chocolate, and much more!)
