What is the Goal of the Scaling Innovations Lab?

The Scaling Innovations Lab (ScIL) at Purdue University provides research and technical assistance to support scaling success domestically and internationally. The Lab’s objective is to advance knowledge regarding the conditions that support and enhance the adoption, uptake, expansion and commercialization of innovations, especially those related to agriculture and food systems in developing economies and low-income areas of the world. Affiliated ScIL faculty and staff collaborate globally with researchers and innovators by helping them identify barriers and opportunities to sustainably scale innovations. In doing so, ScIL aims to enhance the potential for innovations to achieve commercial success and generate positive impacts on society. ScIL is a place where researchers and other stakeholders work to identify, develop and promote innovations that can sustainably reach scale and generate positive impacts.
