EVENTS AND MARKETING INTERNSHIP

The Animal Agriculture Alliance is seeking an events and marketing intern for the spring 2026 semester
to assist with the planning and promotion of the Alliance’s annual Stakeholders Summit and related
marketing initiatives. This part-time spring position (20 hours per week) will run from January through
early May. Candidates must be based within the Arlington, VA or Kansas City, MO area, as some inperson tasks may be required. The majority of the internship will be conducted virtually.

Responsibilities:

The events and marketing intern will support the coordination, planning, and execution of the Alliance’s
annual Stakeholders Summit and related marketing efforts. Responsibilities may include assisting with
event logistics, attendee communication, registration management, and development of promotional
materials. Additional duties include creating and scheduling marketing content, supporting social media
and email campaigns, maintaining event materials, and assisting with post-event reporting. Interns will
also support broader Alliance marketing projects such as website updates, program promotion, and
digital engagement. Interns function as full-fledged members of the Alliance team and contribute
meaningfully to our mission of bridging the communication gap between the farm and food communities
while gaining hands-on experience in event planning, marketing, and nonprofit communications.

Requirements:

Most importantly, candidates should have a strong interest in event planning, marketing, and
communications. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required, along with proficiency in
Microsoft Office, the ability to work independently and meet deadlines, and a willingness to work as a
team player. The ideal candidate is a junior or senior-level student pursuing a degree in marketing,
communications, public relations, event management, or a related field
