Researcher: Katelyn Bottando

Research Lab: PCE detector in a mobile lab

Research Objective: Collect the breath samples of at least 20 Martinsville, IN residents ages 18-65 during May 2024 - July 2024.

Purdue hydrologic impacts group: drainage water recycling

Researcher: Tucker Ensmenger

Research Lab: ABE Lab 

Research Objective: Collect weekly water samples from 3 locations and lysimeters. Perform biweekly routine monitoring of water level from loggers set around wetland.

Researcher: Mariana Gurgel

Research Lab: The Data Mine 

Research Objective: Create a functional machine learning model capable of predicting future grape yield based on weather forecast data. Perform exploratory data analysis with at least 5 datasets to find correlations between the variables.

Research Objective: Complete a 5-8 paragraph introduction, create 3 additional figures, and write the methods section of a research paper by the end of the fall 2024 semester.

analyzing greet and icao-corsia models valuation of climate-smart-agriculture practice

Researcher: Max Korniak

Research Lab: Environmental Defense Fund in Washington, D.C.

Research Objective: Research on the 45z tax credit and more specifically how the GREET model and the ICAO-CORSIA models valuated climate smart agriculture practices (no till, cover crops, enhanced efficiency fertilizers) and create a capstone presentation to present at the internship symposium at the end of the summer.
