SCIeNCE UNDERGRADUATE LABORATORY INTERNSHIPS (SULI)
SULI is a paid internship opportunity sponsored and managed by the DOE Office of Science’s Office of Workforce Development for Teachers and Scientists (WDTS) in collaboration with DOE laboratories/facilities. Students can participate in SULI either in a 10-week summer internship (May–August) or in a semester-long experience (August–December or January–May)
Participation Requirements
- Must have proof of coverage under a health insurance plan for the duration of their internship. It is the responsibility of each participant to secure insurance coverage before arriving at the appointment site.
- Participants must conduct their internship within the United States and its Territories.
- Must behave in a responsible and professional manner.
- Must complete the full 10- or 16-week program.
- Students should expect to spend approximately 40 hours a week working, on-site, on their research projects or participating in the provided professional development opportunities.
Eligibility
Currently enrolled full-time students attending an accredited community college, 2 year colleges, and 4 year institutions or recent graduates.
Interested participants are encouraged to attend the virtual DOE Summer Internship Fair, Nov 6, 2025 from 1:00-5:00 PM (EST).
