Energy Policy Intern (Wisconsin)


Location: Remote (must be based in Wisconsin)
Pay: $20/hour | ~10–12 hrs/week for 24 weeks

About the Role:
Elevate is seeking a Wisconsin-based Energy Policy Intern to support clean energy and affordable housing policy work. The intern will assist with research, writing, event coordination, and outreach, working closely with the Wisconsin Policy Director.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support virtual and in-person policy events
  • Research and write for blogs, factsheets, and policy documents
  • Analyze clean energy and housing programs
  • Attend meetings and assist with internal projects
  • Meet monthly in Madison with supervisor
Requirements:
  • Current student in a Wisconsin-based academic program (grad students preferred)
  • Strong research, writing, and organizational skills
  • Interest in clean energy, policy, and equity
  • Familiarity with government systems

Internship Details:
  • Paid at $20/hour
  • Flexible schedule with potential to extend
  • Confidentiality agreement required
