Clean Virginia, a nonpartisan advocacy organization, works to advance clean, affordable energy and accountable governance in Virginia. We’re seeking a Legislative Fellow to support our policy team during the 2026 General Assembly session.

Timeline: January–late March/early April 2026 (12 weeks, with possible December start)

Location: Primarily in-person in Richmond, VA (some remote days possible)

Reports to: Deputy Director for Strategy & Governance
Responsibilities

Research and analyze energy and governance policy

Track legislation, amendments, and committee meetings

Draft memos, summaries, and briefing materials
-
Attend hearings, stakeholder meetings, and support team needs

Uphold Clean Virginia’s commitment to equity and inclusion
Qualifications
-
BA/BS or final-year undergrad/graduate student in relevant field
-
Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
-
Interest in Virginia’s legislative process and energy/governance issues

Available full-time in Richmond during session

Professional, adaptable, and reliable
