Legislative Fellow – Clean Virginia (Spring 2026)

Clean Virginia, a nonpartisan advocacy organization, works to advance clean, affordable energy and accountable governance in Virginia. We’re seeking a Legislative Fellow to support our policy team during the 2026 General Assembly session.

Details

  • Timeline: January–late March/early April 2026 (12 weeks, with possible December start)

  • Location: Primarily in-person in Richmond, VA (some remote days possible)

  • Reports to: Deputy Director for Strategy & Governance

Responsibilities

  • Research and analyze energy and governance policy

  • Track legislation, amendments, and committee meetings

  • Draft memos, summaries, and briefing materials

  • Attend hearings, stakeholder meetings, and support team needs

  • Uphold Clean Virginia’s commitment to equity and inclusion

Qualifications

  • BA/BS or final-year undergrad/graduate student in relevant field

  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills

  • Interest in Virginia’s legislative process and energy/governance issues

  • Available full-time in Richmond during session

  • Professional, adaptable, and reliable
