RMYC offers internships with natural resource agencies and non-profits, providing hands-on experience in conservation, land management, and environmental research. Current Openings:
  • AIM (Soils & Vegetation Monitoring) – Data collection for land management decisions. (Lead & Member positions available)
  • Archaeology – Conduct cultural surveys and assist with research documentation.
  • Fire & Fuels – Support fire crews and fuel reduction projects.
  • Recreation – Maintain and improve public recreation sites and trails.
  • Timber & Silviculture – Assist with sustainable forest management and reforestation.
  • Trails & Wilderness – Focus exclusively on maintaining and enhancing trail networks.
  • Wildlife – Conduct habitat restoration and species monitoring.


Locations: Various field offices in Colorado and Wyoming.
Compensation: Weekly stipends or hourly wages (varies by position).
Term Length: Ranges from 12 to 30 weeks, with flexible start dates.
