Energy & Environment Lab – Summer Research Assistants (2025)
Chicago or remote - 10-week internship - U.S. work authorization required
The Energy & Environment Lab is hiring Summer RAs to support large-scale environmental policy research projects. Ideal candidates will have strong analytical, programming, and research skills and a keen interest in energy and environmental policy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and analyze data using R or Python
- Build statistical and/or machine learning models
- Conduct literature reviews and assist in report writing
- Help develop and coordinate projects
- Present results through visuals and summaries
- Progress toward a degree in economics, computer science, or a related field
- Coursework in econ, stats, CS, or applied math
- Experience with R or Python preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Interest in environmental/energy policy a plus
