Case Study: Supporting the Food Industry in Nepal

This fact sheet includes a description and initial assessment of the International COVID-19 Rapid Response Project in Nepal. The program provides tools and resources to reduce person-to-person coronavirus transmission in all parts of food systems. In addition to a website and FAQ videos, the approach includes virtual office hours which connect food system affiliates (e.g., farmers, processors, distributors, retailers, and consumers) with a panel of experts to answer their questions in real-time. After the first session of office hours, the program’s reach and impact were evaluated.
