In this June 2023 webinar, panelists shared their experience applying risk-based approaches in food safety in Latin America and Asia. Risk-based approaches to food safety focus resources on the physical, microbial, and chemical hazards that pose the greatest risk to human health and nutrition. Many different risk-based frameworks have been implemented to set priorities for food safety research, outreach, and policy across the global food system. This was the second webinar in a two-part series hosted by the Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Food Safety. Speakers included Dr. Fernando Sampedro (University of Minnesota) and Dr. Hung Nguyen (International Livestock Research Institute).
