“What I'm most proud of about my time at Purdue is that I gained confidence in myself. Not only did I jump outside of my comfort zone and make so many new connections, I also began to realize my abilities and find ways to stretch them. I gained the skills I needed to take on challenging tasks, all while knowing that I had the capability to excel in what I was doing. That confidence will help me no matter what path I pursue.”

“During my time at Purdue, I continuously discovered reasons to take pride in my journey. I successfully fulfilled my degree requirements, earning a bachelor's degree, all while actively engaging in Shoemaker Cooperative. Although there were moments when I faced challenges, I consistently maintained a spot on the dean's list each semester. I am proud of myself for continually giving my commitments my all, and I hope to find pride in my future career.”

“While at Purdue, I had the opportunity to become more involved with the agricultural industry because of the opportunities Purdue has to offer. I spent a lot of time learning about different aspects and growing professionally and personally. The connections I made led me to where I am today! I am very excited to be stepping into the classroom to teach high school students about ag!”

“The prospect of being in one school for a substantial amount of time makes me most excited for the future. I will continue to be in my position following graduation, and I have already seen a turnaround effect of my actions on the student leadership team within our FFA chapter. Watching students grow and continue to be excited about the agriculture industry and being competitive in their FFA events are long-term benefits I hope to see out of the long hours I am putting in short term.”

“I was proud to be a part of IAAE! It provided me with the opportunities to travel and to meet people across the country within agriculture education. I am eager to start my career, whether it be within the agriculture industry or not. I know that a Purdue degree can set someone up for success and propel them into the future. I am excited to see where it takes me!”

“I am proud of the work I conducted for my dissertation and in the collaborative research lab headed by Dr. Linda Pfeiffer. She has truly fostered a welcoming environment for students to learn and stretch their research skills. I also am proud that I was able to serve as the Purdue LGBTQ Center’s Bilsland Strategic Initiative Fellow. I was able to combine my research, outreach, and community organizing skills to build sustainable LGBTQIA+ graduate student engagement with the Center.”
