“I worked alongside my fellow graduate student Leslie Fairchild in creating lesson plans to address a gap in agricultural education. It felt like the start of being able to make a difference in the lives of agricultural educators as well as students where we saw a desperate need for conversations around diversity, equity, and inclusion. I also was incredibly proud of the impact that both the students in the class I TA’d had on me and the impact I had on them.”

“I am proud of the research I had the opportunity to conduct as part of the Pfeiffer lab, where I had the opportunity to help drive our research program toward creating opportunities for lay voices to be included in the development and implementation of technology in rural and agricultural settings. I’m also extremely proud of my participation in the emerging worker advocacy movement at Purdue and the positive changes in worker pay and living conditions that we were able to make for future grad students.”

“Each of my outstanding accomplishments made me proud — from thriving academically, to bagging awards and scholarships within and outside Purdue, amongst others. I am proud of my research and thesis, knowing fully well that it will help agricultural companies in attracting the next generation of employees (Generation Z). Due to the value of my research, I was featured in an article by the National FFA Organization’s FFA New Horizons, The Feed, and I had proud moments presenting this research at several conferences.”
