“Purdue University has deepened my passion for agriculture by introducing me to various methods of effective communication within the field. I am proud to have an education that equips me well for the career paths I am eager to pursue. I’m proud that I put myself out of my comfort zone to grow as a young professional. I'm thrilled about my future as I step into a new role that will push me to further develop the skills I've cultivated here. Boiler up!”
Kayla Bonert
B.S., Agricultural Education
First Destination: Production Agronomist, Corteva Agriscience, Princeton, Illinois
“One of my proudest achievements is completing my entire college career at Purdue. As a shy, out-of-state freshman, I was homesick, uncertain about my college choice, and surrounded by unfamiliarity. Looking back, I never would’ve imagined how much I would grow to love Purdue. By stepping outside my comfort zone and getting involved in various on- and off-campus organizations, Purdue became a second home. Graduating from a place that once felt overwhelming is something I’ll always be proud of.”
Madison Coates

“There are lots of things that make me excited for my future. Teaching agriculture is not just a profession for me; it's a passion that is rooted in my belief that education should go beyond the scope of textbooks and classrooms. Throughout my life, I have always been passionate about agriculture and educating others about it. I'm driven by a desire to bring curiosity, foster learning, and cultivate deeper connections to the world around us.”
Riley Roth
B.S., Agricultural Education
First Destination: Agriculture Teacher, Caston Junior-Senior High School, Rochester, Indiana
“The thing that is the most exciting about the future is that it is always changing and never what you expect. In the last three years, many things have changed. I didn't think I would be a teacher. I am. I didn't think I would adjunct teach for student teaching. I did. I didn't think I would find my forever home at my first school. I did. The future is never what you expect, and you are just along for the ride.”

“I am excited about the possibilities of artificial intelligence (AI), especially in education. As an African, I believe access to AI tools will enable young Africans to access the kind of information they could only dream of in the past. They will also be able to learn more, do more and produce more to make Africa and the world a better place.”
