Box Tree Moth on Indiana's Doorstep

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) has confirmed the detection of the box tree moth (BTM) near the border of Hamilton and Clermont counties in Ohio.

The box tree moth is an invasive pest from East Asia that poses a threat to boxwood plantings and the horticulture industry. Federal and state officials are asking the public and horticultural businesses to spot and report the box tree moth.
