What makes our system different?

Our goal is to make our system both economically and environmentally sustainable. The system will incorporate algal cultivation, a biogas boiler, and an anaerobic digester. These elements will help generate energy for the system and produce value-added products. Algae is the most abundant plant on Earth and is known for its ability to purify water by removing nitrogen and phosphorus. The algae will help clean the water, which will then be recirculated back into the fish tank. The biogas boiler and anaerobic digester will utilize the algae to generate energy, which will power the various energy needs of the aquaponics system.

Integrated Aquaponics System Our integrated aquaponics system will include the traditional components of an aquaponics system along with the additional algal cultivation unit, biogas boiler and Anaerobic digester.
