Lab Introduction
Our lab explores the human factors influencing food safety. We use interdisciplinary methods to assess the knowledge, beliefs, and behaviors that impact food safety among food handlers, and we develop educational interventions to improve compliance.
Who we’re looking for:
- Interested in human factors research
- Detail-Oriented
- Team Player: We appreciate communication skills and teamwork
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- (Preferred) Experience with Excel. Some Knowledge of SPSS or similar software is a plus
- (Preferred) Strong writing skills
Eligibility
Graduating students or those with a bachelor’s degree who can start in the Summer or Fall 2026.

- Graduate students in statistics, data science, or related fields
- Familiar with SPSS, R, SAS, or similar software
- Familiar with design of experiment is a plus
- Team Player: We appreciate communication skills and teamwork
What you will be doing:
Working with other graduate students in research projects, from experimental design, data collection, to data analysis and report writing.
