 General Information

Laura works in the Natural Resources Social Science (NRSS) Lab where she coordinates research projects, works to develop exciting outreach and education projects on endangered species such as freshwater mussels and Whooping Cranes, and she manages the needs of the lab. In addition, Laura is Managing Director of the Indiana Water Resources Research Center (, where she coordinates the distribution of water related information to Indiana researchers and the submission, peer review, and awards of their small grants program.

Laura joined Purdue’s College of Agriculture in 2008 in the Department of Agricultural & Biological Engineering where she directed research projects to develop environmental and social indicators for water quality and coordinated the Indiana Watershed Leadership Academy. Laura joined the NRSS lab in 2015.

Laura holds an MS in environmental toxicology from Clemson University and a BA in biology from Albion College.
