Resource Description

This report summarizes findings from the Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Food Safety’s Phase I research and capacity strengthening activities from June 2019 through June 2024. The portfolio of capacity-building research projects included four commissioned projects, seven competitively funded short- and long-term projects, and a USAID buy-in to mitigate food industry disruptions during the coronavirus pandemic. The report highlights progress in four areas: microbial food safety, social and behavior change, women in food safety systems, and consumer demand for safe and affordable food.
