ABOUT THE DASHBOARD

This dashboard explores the economic profile of all U.S. states for three selected food service industries – “Restaurants and Other Food Industry”, “Food Services Industry” and “Drinking Places Industry.” It reports the economic variables, such as average earnings per job, establishments and jobs per 10,000 residents, sales per capita, and total jobs and sales per industry. The ranking of states for each of the economic variables is visible in a table in the bottom right-hand corner of the dashboard. In addition, the user has access to demographic variables – gender, race and age. To view the profile of all states, you can choose “View all States” for an automatic display of the dashboard.
