Welcome, Vincennes University Transfer Students!

Start by completing your Associate of Science (A.S.) degree at Vincennes University and finish at Purdue's College of Agriculture, the 12th ranked agricultural college in the world, and 6th in the USA (2019 QS World Rankings).  This is a GREAT time to be a part of Purdue Agriculture!

Beginning in the late 1950s, Purdue University and Vincennes University (VU) established a long-standing VU-Purdue Cooperative Articulation Agreement for the following VU programs in Agriculture:

  • Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences – Agriculture Concentration
  • Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences – Forestry & Conservation Concentration
  • Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences – Major
  • Chemical Sciences – Pre-Veterinary Concentration
  • Engineering Science – Agricultural & Biological Engineering Concentration
  • Engineering Science – Agricultural Machine Systems or Environmental & Natural Resources Engineering Concentration

The agreement allows students who earn the A.S. degree in one of these VU programs to be admitted to Purdue Agriculture with a minimum 2.00 cumulative GPA (in lieu of the 2.50 cumulative GPA required by Purdue Admissions).  In addition, after the A.S. degree is awarded by Vincennes University, credits may be transferred for courses in which "D" grades were earned to fulfill requirements. Essentially, this allows students from Vincennes University who complete the A.S. degree for one of these programs to be treated as if they were resident Purdue students entering their junior year in the College of Agriculture on the West Lafayette campus.
