PEMC Open Day - April 9th, 2025

Join the PEMC for an Open Day on April 9th, 2025! The day will include presentations from staff and users, a poster session during lunch, and tours of the EM Center's three locations across campus. Please register for the event if you plan to attend so the EM staff can plan accordingly for lunches and coordinating tours through small spaces.

Overview

The day will start in Room 121 of the Burton D. Morgan Center for Entrepreneurship at 9:30 am, where the event will kick off with presentations from staff and users of the EM Center, highlighting the capabilities and applications of the equipment in the PEMC.  Lunch will follow, with concurrent poster presentations showcasing more research that is supported by the PEMC.  Lunch will be provided by Thermo Fisher Scientific, who is the manufacturer of 10 of the electron microscopes in the center.  

After lunch, there will be rotating tours between the three PEMC locations across campus: Whistler Hall, Birck Nanotechnology Center, and Armstrong Hall.
