Internship Posting: The Hills Golf Club

The Hills Golf Club is a close-knit, private club and community located in the heart of the Hamptons on New York’s Long Island. The Hills is a Discovery Land Company property, known for creating modern luxury residential communities in spectacular settings providing unparallel amenities and experiences for families. At The Hills, families will enjoy a world-class Tom Fazio golf course, along with other outdoor activities. The Hills Golf Club is excited to open for its second season in 2026.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a college program related to turf management, agronomy, horticulture, or similar (preferred) or related experience.
  • A strong work ethic and willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to follow instructions and take direction from experienced team members.
  • Good physical fitness and ability to lift at least 50lbs
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills for collaborating with the maintenance crew.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and challenges throughout the internship.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily turf maintenance and course set up to ensure optimal playing conditions.
  • Support all aspects of golf course maintenance, including mowing, fertilization, pest control, and irrigation.
  • Application of fertilizers and pesticides in accordance with safety guidelines.
  • Aid with moisture management practices throughout the golf course.
  • Participate in irrigation system maintenance and repairs under supervision.
  • Upkeep of golf course landscape.
  • Work alongside the maintenance team during special projects and seasonal preparations.
  • Assist with the operation and maintenance of all grounds throughout the property including common area landscape.

Job Benefits

  • Hourly wage of $22.00 USD per hour (Overtime is x1.5)
