Overview

If you’re interested in exploring a career in arboriculture, consider starting your journey with Oakleaf Treeworks. We’re thrilled to off er two students a 2026 summer internship, where you’ll begin to learn the ins and outs of tree work.

As an arboriculture intern at a small, family-run company, you will get the unique experience of seeing how the tree work itself and the administrative side come together. Throughout your 8-12 weeks of hands-on training with our talented team, you will grow your skillsets both in the fi eld and beyond.

Benefits

 

• $15.00-$17.00 per hour
• Hands-on experience and training in arboriculture, working alongside skilled professionals

FOCUS AREAS

• Using and maintaining equipment including: Chipper, stump grinder, chainsaw, hand pruner, Bobcat, and more
• Identifying trees, and recognizing biological and structural issues
• Utilizing proper pruning and removal techniques
• Estimating tree work
• Customer communication
• Acquiring permits for tree work
• Scheduling tree work

QUALIFICATIONS

• Current student in a related field
• High school diploma or GED
• A strong desire to learn, and the willingness to work in all weather conditions
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
