The Mark Neyman Memorial
Student Experience Fund

EST. APRIL 2025

Mark Neyman graduated from Purdue in 1987 with a degree in Agricultural Meteorology. Afterward graduation, he put his degree to good use in Air Management with the office of Environmental Management for the State of Indiana.

Before his death in 2018, Mark reflected on his time with the Department of Agronomy, he was ‘ever grateful’ for his education, his professors who assisted and encouraged his study, the friends he acquired, and of course cheering for the Boilermaker teams.

His degree enabled him to be a better forecaster of the weather, and used those skills for modeling air quality outputs, as well as predicting air quality for Ozone Action Days.

In light of all these benefits from his Purdue experience, he wanted to assist other students in having an enriching time at Purdue. This fund was created as a way to provide such an opportunity for students, and to honor Mark’s memory.
