ARGE Research Assistantship
The purpose of the Agriculture Research Graduate Research Assistantship Program is to attract and support promising graduate students who graduated from a U.S. high school that demonstrate the ability to contribute to a campus community of scholars where diverse perspectives, abilities, backgrounds, and experiences are welcomed, respected, and valued to our graduate programs in the Colleges of Agriculture, Health and Human Sciences, and Veterinary Medicine at Purdue University and that are aligned with research and education priorities of USDA-NIFA. These assistantships can be either one-year MS or two-year PhD assistantships up to $30K per year, travel funds are not included.
Due to the source of funds mentors for students must be part of a Hatch or Multistate Hatch project.
First round nominations for the ARGE Research Assistantship are due by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 19th. Each entity should have a review process that all nominations must go through before being submitted via Qualtrics, only two nominations per entity can be submitted for an ARGE Research Assistantship.
If the recruit decides to decline the offer from Purdue, then the offer to receive an ARGE Research Assistantship will be extended to the most highly ranked individual in the nomination pool.
