SynopsisDuring Purdue’s Spring Break of 2024, 22 students along with Dr. Ashley York (Coordinator of Academic Advising and Student Services) and Dr. Alan Mathew (Professor Emeritus) made the journey to Greece to learn about the agriculture, food, history and culture of this unique country. Their journey began in Thessaloniki where they worked closely with Perrotis College to learn about the region’s animal production systems, the Mediterranean diet, and a variety of other agricultural practices. Students were also able to experience a variety of cultural activities that included Meteroa a rock formation hosting one of the largest complexes of Eastern Orthodox monasteries.
