Biol​ogy

The Biology Resource Center offers free tutorial help for introductory (100 and 200 level) biology courses, course syllabi and textbooks, and sample problem sets. Individual and group study space available.

Resource Room Hours

Staffed by upper-level chemistry students, the Resource Room is available for students who need help with General and Organic homework, need to see a textbook or an old exam, use modeling kits, reference books or want to review a lecture. Individual and group study space is available.

College of Science Instructional Nightly Enrichment (COSINE)

A free tutoring program to help students in first-year courses in Biology, Chemistry and Math. COSINE offers evening tutoring right in your own backyard. Our goal is to help you develop problem-solving skills needed to do your homework. Please visit one of our locations for assistance.

The focus of the Presentation is oral presentations and oral delivery.  The Lamb School’s Purdue Presentation Center is here to help Purdue students with preparing for or delivering a presentation, including:

  • exploring topics
  • using supporting evidence
  • providing proper citation- written and verbal 
  • organizing and outlining presentations
  • creating effective visual aids 
  • developing strategies for effective delivery
  • practicing presentation delivery
  • getting ready for virtual presentations

MANRRS (Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences) – dedicated to the “…inclusion, achievement, and advancement of all people in the agricultural sciences”

An organization open to anyone with a vital interest in promoting diversity in agriculture, natural resources and related sciences, MANRRS-Purdue, pledges “to work for the inclusion, achievement, and advancement of all people in the agricultural sciences.” Will host a 3-hour study table each week using graduate students as tutors for chemistry, calculus, and English. Study tables are open to all students in the College of Agriculture, and snacks will be provided.

Supplemental Instruction

​Supplemental Instruction (SI)  is offered for many challenging introductory courses. Hours and locations vary by course.


Supplemental Instruction is:
  • weekly study sessions led by a peer who has successfully taken the course
  • an informal study group where it's ok to make a mistake
  • a place to share study tips
  • a way to grasp tough material and break it down into understandable segments
  • a way to save time, money and frustration

WIEP-WISP tutoring is available in the Shreve Hall conference room (C113A) and virtual. FREE tutoring for 100 and 200-level science and math courses.

Purdue Counseling & Guidance Center-Beering Hall Room 3202: 49-49738

The Counseling and Guidance Center is the counseling service and training facility for the College of Education on the Purdue University campus.  Since 1953, the Counseling and Guidance Center has been assisting people with a variety of educational, career, and personal problems.  This service is open to students and the general public. No charge for appointments; there may be a small charge for career testing.

Purdue Psychology Treatment and Research Clinics (PPTRC) are a group of specialty clinics specifically designed to deliver state-of-the-art psychological treatment to the people of the Greater Lafayette community. Their goal is to assist clients by providing quality assessment, treatment, and psycho-educational services using the methods shown by research to be most effective.
