  • Mail and Package Receiving
    • Mail & Packages are delivered and dropped off by MMDC at:
      • BCHM @ 8:15am
      • HANS @ 1:10 pm
      • PFEN @ 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm
      • LILY @ 1:10 pm and 3:00 pm
    • UPS, Fedex, and DHL drop off packages between 8 am and 12 pm daily
    • All labs receiving packages for the day will be emailed to come pick them up after all trucks have come and packages have been scanned in. 
    • Packages will be scanned a second time and signed for by those persons picking them up from the storeroom
    • We maintain a supply of free envelopes & boxes from USPS, FedEx, UPS, and DHL
    • We also have supply of packing materials for BCHM usage:
      • Bubble wrap
      • Packing paper
      • Packing peanuts
      • A wide assortment of boxes in all shapes
      • Styrofoam cold boxes
    • Purdue's FedEX number is supplied by MMDC, call:
      • Patty Turner – 765-494-7103

         
  • Eurofins Sequencing
    • Drop box is located on the receiving table in the storeroom
    • Small Ziploc bags are available next to the box as well
    • Place sample and any paperwork in a small Ziploc type bag
    • Drop in box, sample bags will be gathered, put into one ups shipping envelope, and dropped off for MMDC pickup at 1:00pm promptly. 
       
  • Ag Purchasing order form

    • Then email agpurchasing@purdue.edu
      • Title ALL ordering emails with:
        • DEPT / Your Name / Vendor
           
  • Compressed Gas Ordering and Receiving
    • Fill out Ag Purchasing form with Indiana Oxygen as the vendor
    • [attach excel document]
    • Fill out purchasing form as normal and email over to ag purchasing
    • Tanks are dropped off throughout the day, there is no set schedule
    • Tanks will be received and placed in the tank holding area in the freight hallway in the basement, and tagged with the ordering labs name and date received
    • Labs will be notified when their tanks arrive, the paperwork for the tanks will be with the tanks
       
  • Liquid Nitrogen filling.
    • Liquid Nitrogen tank is located in the storeroom for BCHM Labs only
    • WSLR Fill up
      • Fill up is Monday and Thursday at 11 am
      • Leave your tank on the dock, there are forms available on the dock to fill out for fill up.  You will need your account number.
    • LILY Storeroom : 
      • Fill up is Monday and Thursday mornings at 8:30 AM
      • Leave your tank on the Lilly Hall dock, there are forms available on the dock to fill out for fill up.  You will need your account number. 
         
  • We currently stock (for BCHM labs only):
    • Office supplies including pens, printer paper, folders, sheet protectors, notebooks, ect
    • Roll paper towels
    • Tri-fold paper towels
    • Kleenex tissues
    • Dawn dish soap, hand sanitizer, Clorox wipes, hand soap, Lysol spray
    • Paper trays, keyboard arms, small desk organizers, hanging file folder racks
       
  • Building Key sign-out
    • Come see either Karyn or Josh in the storeroom
    • Fill out key card, name, email, phone, job title, Professor/PI name and signature
    • You'll be issued your keys and required to return them when your time in BCHM is done
       
  • Departmental Equipment upkeep and maintenance (i.e. autoclaves, laboratory glassware washers, some microscopes, etc.)
