The Department invites applications from students interested in M.S. and Ph.D. degree programs for admission 2025.

The department conducts nation-leading research and graduate research opportunities in the following areas:

  • Insect ecology and pest-plant interactions
  • Insect biochemistry, physiology and toxicology
  • Insect systematics and evolutionary biology
  • Insect genetics, genomics and molecular biology
  • Integrated pest management and biological control
  • Urban and industrial pest management
  • Medical entomology

Interested students are encouraged to contact our faculty to explore research opportunities and discuss openings. Applications can be submitted at any time and are evaluated on a rolling admissions basis. Those students who apply by December 1 for fall admission, will be assured consideration for entrance fellowships.
