Harrold Woodland is located in the Lake Country natural region in Whitley County. The soil in this location is variable as it changes from well drained to very poorly drained as the topography changes. Previously, there were about 61 acres in old agriculture fields that were converted to tree plantings in 1993. The property has been grazed and harvested in past which has made this forest into a two-aged forest.
