2026 Guys and Dollies Summer Internships

Guys and Dollies is a complete summer storage service. Since 2010, Guys and Dollies has helped students save time and money by making their move simple and stress-free! Here’s how it works: Guys and Dollies will deliver free boxes to any student wanting to use our storage services and then come back and pick up the student’s items during move out week in May. The items are stored for the summer months and then delivered back to the student when school starts in the fall. We will also store student’s items for only part of the summer if they prefer that option, help the student’s move from one apartment to another, and/or ship their items back home.

Summary of essential job functions:

The concept of the job sounds simple, but the logistics behind moving, processing, and delivering over 1500 students’ items is the unique interesting part. You will manage student move in and move out week, work with customers via phone and email to answer questions on storage, lead the team during the summer months, and complete 1-2 projects that will help the company in the future. The candidate or candidates should have the following characteristics:

  • Strong entrepreneurship and communication skills
  • Self-motivated and willingness to take initiative on any project with the ability to learn quickly
  • Be able to manage people and work in fast-paced environment
  • Team player
  • Possess a positive, can-do attitude
  • Be able to manage their time well and be organized
  • Be committed to finishing jobs

Qualifications Desired:

  • Live in the Purdue area summer 2026
  • Management experience (desired, not required)
  • Lift 70 pounds
  • Ability to drive a box truck
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Understands basic Microsoft skills

Schedule and Logistics: 

  • We have part time availability in April and then work as soon as finals are completed until August classes start
  • Very flexible on start/end times. For example, if someone can only work from April to July, we would simply try to find someone else to work from July to August.
  • Hours/Vacation are also very flexible and we try to set up a summer schedule that accommodates for time off -During the busy weeks, we do work weekends and we do work long days.
