Summer Sports Turf Technician Internship

Position Dates: Approximately May to August
Compensation: $18/hour
RESPONSIBILITIES
This is a hands-on internship designed to give students meaningful exposure to the industry. Interns work alongside our experienced team and gain practical experience with:- Athletic field construction and renovation
- Laser and GPS grading
- Drainage installation
- Sod and sprigging
- Turfgrass establishment and grow-in
- Mowing and cultural practices
- Agronomic practices and field management
- Operation of professional turf and construction equipment
- Problem-solving and project execution
QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently pursuing a degree in Turfgrass Science, Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Science, Soil Science, Landscape Management, or a related field
- Hardworking and willing to learn
- Detail-oriented and able to solve problems
- Comfortable working as part of a team
- Interested in athletic fields, turfgrass, equipment, construction, and/or agronomy
- Willing to work outdoors and adapt to changing weather conditions
- Able to safely lift, carry, push, or pull 50–75 lbs.
- Able to frequently walk, bend, kneel, lift, reach, and climb during an 8-hour workday
Previous equipment experience is a plus, but not required. We'll teach you the rest.
