FFA Chapter Assistant (2026-27 School Year)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Student Supervision & Event Support- Serve as a chaperone for FFA activities, competitions, conventions, retreats, and trips, including evenings, weekends, and some school breaks.
- Assist with student transportation and supervision at events such as State Convention, National Convention, District Convention, Ag Days, and other chapter activities.
- Work assigned shifts in the greenhouse, including weekends and holiday breaks.
- Water, fertilize, and maintain greenhouse plants and facilities.
- Coordinate scheduling and communicate availability with the advisor.
- Coach high school FFA Career Development Event (CDE) and Leadership Development Event (LDE) teams.
- Parliamentary Procedure (Parli Pro) coaching is required.
- Additional coaching assignments may be based on the assistant's skills and interests.
- Assist with fruit, poinsettia, and spring greenhouse sales.
- Help organize, sort, and distribute fundraiser orders.
- Communicate with students, parents, and customers regarding fundraising activities.
- Represent the program when the advisor is absent, ill, on leave, or has delegated responsibility.
- Provide support for day-to-day program operations and special events as needed.
- Attend all FFA chapter meetings.
- Attend Ag Advisory Board meetings (approximately 4-6 per year).
- Provide advance notice and written explanation if unable to attend required meetings.
