Location: Plain City, OH
Position Type: Internship, In-person
As an intern you will work alongside experienced professionals to gain insight into how genetics, management, technology, and market dynamics influence our success around the globe.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Gain exposure to developing and delivering training to field teams.
- Understand our company’s utilization and implementation of genetic strategies and tools.
- Contribute training expertise and knowledge to our online training platform for employees.
- Participate in on-farm training and learn best practices for dairy herd management.
- Understand and implement a dairy or beef herd monitoring system.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A positive attitude with a passion for learning
- Passion for the dairy industry and commitment to innovation and sustainability
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Available to travel extensively domestically and/or internationally
- Ability to work highly variable, long days depending on the needs of the Global Dairy Solutions team
- Current undergraduate or graduate student in Animal Science, Dairy Science or related field
Preferred Experience:
- Experience competing in the North American Intercollegiate Dairy Challenge or similar programs
- Experience with dairy management software
