Regenerative Farm Manager

Location: New Richmond, IN
Position Type: In-person, Full-time

This is a unique opportunity to help build an organic, regenerative farm from the ground up. The farm is being developed not only as a productive agricultural operation, but as a place that demonstrates responsible land stewardship, builds community, and creates opportunities for education and connection through agriculture. The Farm Manager will play a key role in executing the farm's production systems, infrastructure, culture, and long-term vision.

Responsibilities

  • Farm Development: Help design, establish, and refine farm infrastructure, production systems, and operational procedures.
  • Organic Crop Production: Manage the 3-acre market garden, including planting, fertility, irrigation, weed management, harvest, and product handling.
  • Livestock Management: Oversee goats, animal health, rotational grazing, and related infrastructure.
  • Pasture & Soil Health: Develop and maintain productive pastures while implementing regenerative practices that improve soil biology, organic matter, biodiversity, and longterm land productivity.
  • Diversified Production: Develop honey production and explore opportunities in fruit, flowers, and other complementary farm enterprises.
  • Operations & Facilities: Manage equipment, buildings, fencing, irrigation, maintenance, and daily farm activities.
  • Community & Education: Coordinate interns, students, volunteers, farm experiences, and community engagement opportunities.
  • Planning & Management: Coordinate seasonal plans, budgets, purchasing, recordkeeping, and communication with farm leadership.

Qualifications

  • Practical experience in agriculture, horticulture, livestock, or farm operations.
  • Interest in organic production and regenerative agricultural systems.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Creative thinker who is comfortable challenging conventional approaches and developing new solutions.
  • Self-motivated and capable of building systems in a developing operation.
  • Ability to operate and maintain agricultural equipment.
  • Willingness to work hands-on across multiple farm enterprises.
  • Experience supervising people or managing projects preferred.

Education:

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in agronomy, animal science, farm management, sustainable food and farming systems, or related field
  • Graduating in December 2026 or May 2027
