Investigating long noncoding RNA structure-function relationshipsLong noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) are non-protein encoding transcripts that play key regulatory roles in gene expression. While their sequences and structures are critical to their function, a comprehensive understanding of their structure-function relationships remains to be elucidated. In our lab, we employ both computational and experimental approaches to investigate the structural mechanisms underlying RNA function. I will present our work on structurally characterizing several lncRNAs and their interactions with RNA binding proteins (RBPs). This research provides insights into how structured lncRNAs contribute to disease, offering potential avenues for selective therapeutic targeting.
