NHLA’s 8-week Inspector Training School is an immersive, hands-on program designed to prepare the next generation of hardwood lumber inspectors. This comprehensive course blends classroom instruction with real-world experience, giving students the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills needed to succeed in the industry.

Students who successfully complete all program requirements will receive an NHLA Inspector Training School Certificate of Completion.

Admission Requirements
Prospective students must:
  • Hold a high school diploma or GED, or
  • Pass an “Ability to Benefit” test administered on the first day of class

An official copy of high school transcripts or equivalency documentation meeting state minimum standards is required.
