Fish Fry 2024 Features Agronomy's Dr. Tuinstra in Digital Ag Showcase

The 2024 Purdue Ag Fish Fry featured Agronomy's Dr. Tuinstra in a special presentation highlighting applications in the realm of Digital Ag. He was also joined by Dr. Songlin Fei from Forestry & Natural Resources, and Dr. Ankita Raturi from Agricultural & Biologial Engineering, who each shared insight into the application of Digital Ag in their areas.

Dr. Tuinstra highlighted the Ag Alumni Seed Phenotyping Facility, and the advances it has made in observing plant growth and capturing that data without physically disturbing the specimens being studied. Ground has already broken and work begun on the new addition to the facility in the form of modern phenotyping greenhouses. He also touched on the use of remote sensing and the many benefits it has granted researchers and farmers alike.
