Biological Scientist II

The New Hampshire Department of Agriculture, Markets, and Food is pleased to announce an opening for a Biological Scientist II (Entomologist) within our Division of Plant Industry. We are looking for a motivated and detail‑oriented professional to join our team in protecting New Hampshire’s agriculture and natural resources from plant pests and diseases.

This position offers the opportunity to work directly with industry partners, conduct inspections and surveys across the state, support plant health programs, and contribute to regulatory and outreach efforts that safeguard interstate and international plant trade.

A bachelor’s degree in entomology, invertebrate zoology, plant pathology, or a related field is required. Fieldwork, public interaction, and statewide travel are integral parts of this role. Candidates with experience in insect or plant disease programs are strongly encouraged to apply.
