We are currently seeking a Precision Ag Consultant to deliver expertise, training, and support for solutions driven by the John Deere Precision Ag strategy and other aligned technologies. This role is essential in advancing precision agriculture adoption across the dealership while collaborating with all departments to support and promote precision farming products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor incoming calls to the Precision Ag support line and resolve data, digital, and embedded solution issues accurately and efficiently
  • Develop and implement connected fleet processes for both internal operations and customer equipment
  • Create and deliver training programs for employees and customers on precision ag data, analytics, and technology
  • Manage and analyze data within Operations Center/Property Center and related digital applications to improve efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with company data privacy policies and promote best practices across the organization
  • Coordinate terminal transfers for new and used equipment
  • Accurately manage billing for precision ag services, subscriptions, and packages
  • Support the development and execution of strategies to integrate Precision Ag across all dealership departments
  • Maintain a strong understanding of John Deere Precision Ag solutions across sales, service, and parts departments
  • Deliver training on advanced precision ag products and data-driven solutions
  • Provide recommendations for inventory and stocking requirements related to precision ag solutions
  • Offer consultative support to customers, helping optimize performance, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with third-party providers (e.g., Certified Crop Advisers, Ag Service Providers) and related John Deere partners

Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of experience in an agriculture-related role
  • Dealership experience in sales, service, or training preferred
  • Working knowledge of electrical and wireless communication systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a solutions-oriented mindset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard computer applications
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel to store locations and customer sites

Education & Certifications:

  • Associate degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Business, Agricultural Mechanization, or related field (or equivalent experience) required
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
  • Certified Crop Adviser (CCA) certification or equivalent preferred
