On April 7, 2023, Fresh Express Incorporated announced a voluntary recall of three varieties of expired branded and private-label salad kit products due to the potential contamination of Listeria monocytogenes. The recalled products are no longer available for sale, and no illnesses have been reported so far.
The recalled salad items have a Product Code of GO75 and Use-By Dates of March 31 or April 2, 2023. Consumers can find the recalled products by identifying the information below. They were distributed through retailers in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. Consumers who have purchased the recalled products can return them to the place of purchase for a refund.

Listeria monocytogenes can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy individuals may experience short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.
