Purdue Extension releases 2017 annual report online
Purdue Extension has posted its 2017 annual report online, highlighting the ways in which Extension educates and empowers people throughout Indiana and promotes statewide economic vitality.
“Purdue Extension has strengthened Indiana for over 100 years in many ways,” says Jason Henderson, director of Purdue Extension and associate dean in the Purdue College of Agriculture. “This report represents some of our most recent endeavors - in which people from different program areas often collaborate to pool their expertise. With vibrant presentation, powerful data, and success stories, it clearly illustrates how making Indiana a better place for all of us is what Purdue Extension does.”

The annual report includes stories about agricultural research in unmanned aerial vehicle use, key partnerships that return disabled farmers to their fields, enhanced economic futures in Indiana’s small towns, programs to increase health and wellness statewide, training for childcare providers, organization-wide efforts to combat Indiana’s opioid crisis, opportunities for the next generation of entrepreneurs and trailblazers, and much more.
Additional content looks at scholarship opportunities generated by the Indiana 4-H Foundation and upcoming initiatives in workforce development, pesticide safety, business growth, and increased wellness activity in public spaces.
