Purdue appoints director of corporate business development

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue University’s College of Agriculture has appointed Samantha Miller as its director of corporate business development. In this pivotal role, Miller will lead efforts to strengthen partnerships between the college and key industry stakeholders, drive innovation and expand opportunities for students and faculty in agricultural enterprise and research.

Miller brings extensive experience in agricultural leadership, regulatory affairs and industry collaboration. Most recently, Miller served as U.S. crop protection regulatory leader at Corteva Agriscience, where she managed regulatory strategies for a diverse portfolio of crop protection products and cultivated relationships with state and federal agencies. She also previously served as an agronomy information specialist, assistant professor and policy fellow, as well as provided leadership in industry associations and community organizations.

As the director of corporate business development, Miller will:

  • Forge and nurture strategic partnerships and philanthropy with agricultural businesses and organizations
  • Identify and develop new opportunities for research, internships and workforce development
  • Support faculty and student engagement with industry
  • Enhance the college’s role as a leader in agricultural innovation and economic development

Miller earned a PhD in agronomy from Purdue, a bachelor’s degree in plant science from the University of Florida and has been recognized for her leadership and service in both academic and industry settings.
