January Corn & Soybean Outlook Update
Purdue ag economists Michael Langemeier, Nathanael Thompson and James Mintert hosted a free webinar on January 14, 2022. The team discussed the corn and soybean outlook following release of USDA’s January Crop Production and World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates (WASDE) reports and provided implications for 2021 and 2022 crop marketing strategies. Updates on corn and soybean export prospects, ethanol demand, ending stock estimates, and corn and soybean basis along crop production cost and income projections were also discussed.
